Stop denigrating royal fathers -Oba advises Kwara Gov

by Editor

As political parties and candidates round off campaigns, the spokesman for the Kwara State gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alh Abdulwahab Oba has advised the State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to stop insulting and denigrating the royal fathers by dragging them into political partisanship.

In his reaction to the false accusation that he (Oba) and other spokesmen of the PDP and its gubernatorial candidate have been attacking the State’s traditional institution, Oba said he has never in his life been under the influence to warrant such a despicable action.

“Only an intoxicated, deranged and one lacking decent parental upbringing like the paymaster of those spinning such a provocative story will attack our referred royal fathers for political reasons”, Oba said.

According to him, our royal fathers are men of integrity and fathers of every one of their subjects. They deserve absolute honour and respect.

Oba called on Governor AbdulRahman to stop diverting attention from issues of his appalling misgovernance, diversion of public funds, the allegations of building a refinery in a neighbouring country and vote-buying, and unfulfilled promises to the civil servants.

“In less than 45 months, this government has received more than N500b from the federation account, IGR, loans and grants without commissioning any major project, but a debt profile of over N110b hanging on the state”, Oba alleged.

If elected, Alh Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi has promised to cash back all outstanding promotion arrears, implement the real N30,000 minimum wage and organised the local government election within the statutory time limit.
