The Senior Special Assistant on Labour to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Comrade Mumini AbdulKareem Onagun, has extended his heartfelt gratitude to Almighty Allah for the privilege of witnessing yet another Holy Month of Ramadan.
In a statement marking the commencement of Ramadan, Comrade Onagun called on Muslims to embrace the sacred period by seeking divine forgiveness, making earnest supplications, and adhering strictly to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an.
He noted the unique significance of the year 2025, as both the Ramadan and Lenten seasons are being observed simultaneously. He urged Nigerians, irrespective of their religious affiliations, to seize this rare opportunity to further ensure unity, righteousness, and moral rectitude as guided by the Qur’an and the Bible.
“This is a moment for deep reflection, a chance to right the wrongs in our society by upholding the values enshrined in our holy books.
“If we diligently carry out our duties, whether as public servants, traders, or in any other capacity , we will undoubtedly reap divine rewards, as Almighty Allah has already made adequate provisions for all His creations,” he said .
Comrade Onagun also expressed profound appreciation for the unprecedented support enjoyed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration, particularly from public servants, senior citizens, and the general populace of Kwara State.
He assured Kwarans that the government remains committed to delivering more dividends of democracy, addressing outstanding concerns, and ensuring inclusive development.
“As we observe these sacred seasons, I urge all Kwarans and Nigerians to continue uphold unity and cooperation. The progress of our state and nation depends on peaceful coexistence,” he added.
While further wishing Muslims and Christians a spiritually fulfilling Ramadan and Lenten period, he encouraged everyone to remain steadfast in faith, guided by the teachings of the Qur’an and the Bible.
