In their desperate antics against our party, APC and the political candidature of Hon Tijjani Ismail Kayode, his detractors and clear enemies of progress are without doubt terribly failing at their propaganda . And the recent release of a private phone conversation between Hon Tijjani and a constituent is their new antic, and glaringly their new failure.
Instead of the said phone leak turning the good people of our Constituency against our principal as the anticipated by these evil characters, it is graciously marketing the goodwill, honesty and selflessness of Tijjani in the discharge of his mandates as an Honourable Member at the National Assembly. Truth shall always shine no matter the depth of their propaganda.
For the records, in our previous rejoinder on the issue of empowerment, where the same characters accused our principal of an ‘empowerment scam’, our campaign organization specifically stated that Hon Tijjani Ismail Kayode adopts two strategies of empowering his people – empowerment schemes via his office and his personal empowerment interventions for his people through his humble resourced. The leak audio only authenticates his reasoned approach to impactful interventions, when Hon Tijjani spoke about the need for communities to come together in facilitating amenities and that within his personal resources, he was always willing to add his own contributions in order to facilitate the requests of the communities especially when such are outside the limits of his office.
Hon Tijjani has facilitated several power transformers well as donations of vehicles and worktools/startup funds that are from his personal resources in more than few cases.
Thus, by stating the obvious, Hon. Tijjani did not denigrate his constituents or dishonor his mandates but stated in unambiguous terms that it is only through the collective mobilization of resources of all especially the privileged that our communities and by extension our constituency can develop faster and meaningfully.
We resolutely agree with our principal that our politics has indeed reached a threshold where leadership is about remodeling the interests of all especially the privileged in empowering our communities especially when the resources of government can hardly deliver everything.
The new vision is an ideal politics driven by purposeful leadership where we all mobilize our humble contributions for the development of our communities. It isn’t about the people ‘begging’ but a true collective agenda.
To God be the glory that Hon Tijjani remains an accomplished engineer and a successful businessman in his own rights before he joined politics. As such, it is his own brand of politics to market to larger audience especially the privileged that our communities deserve our collective resources. This is by no stretch, a community ‘begging’ but in fact a community rising to the need of our accelerated development.
Therefore, we can only preach to these political detractors and their agents that it’s about time to focus on greater good for our people than their self-detention premised on nothing but envy and callousness.
