The Council of Imams, Idofian District of Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State has organized a one-day special prayer in honour of the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq; his Deputy, Elder Kayode Alabi; the Speaker of the State’s 9th Assembly, Engr. Danladi Yakubu and the member representing Omupo State Constituency of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Barr. Abdulganiyu Folabi Salahudeen (AGF) and other aspirants of All Progress Congress in the State for successful first tenure and victory in their re-election bid in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the State.
The prayer was held at the instant of Barr. Salahudeen(AGF) at the Jimba-Oja Central mosque at the weekend, led by Chief Imam Idofian and the Council’s Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Tohir Ahmad Alao, alongside the Council’s speaker, Alhaji Ahmad Abdulyekini.
Others present at the prayer are the Chief Imam of Amoyo and the Vice-Chairman; the Council’s Secretary, Shittu AbdulRasheed Adeshina; other Imams, Secretary, Idofian Ward 1, Local Government Executive and other wards executives members and followers across the District, among others.
Speaking with journalists after the prayer attended by prominent sons and daughters, APC stalwarts and members of the District, the APC Chairman of Wards Chairmen in Ifelodun Local Government, Alhaji Fatai Mustapha, commended the administration of Governor Abdulrahman for giving back to Kwarans their yearning and aspirations.
Alhaji Mustapha, who also commended Barr. AGF for proper representation and making the District improved, stated that during the difficult times in 2018/2019, the District sought God’s intervention and such intervention was answered with the administration success stories witnessed all over the state, most especially in the Districts.
The Chairman prayed that the programme put in place since the being of the first tenure and sustained till date would continue to be successful and will assist the State under the party to go well.
In his remarks at the occasion, the Supervisory Councilor for Health, Ifelodun Local Government, Honorable Dauda Ibikunle, who was grateful to Barrister AGF for organising the programme for the Governor, his administration and the State at large, disclosed that the current administration has taught them how to source for means of livelihood rather and depending on them.
Under this administration, the government has not stop developing the state even as elections are close by as they have constantly provided social amenities and people-oriented programmes for the needs of all Kwarans.
In his response, the conveyer, Barr. Abdulganiyu Folabi Salahudeen(AGF), who commended the administration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, recalled that in 2018, similar programme was organised to pray to God to take control of the election and the prayer was answered.
Honourable Salahudeen, however, said that the people in his constituency knew the assistance rendered to them by the Governor. He appreciated the government and prayed for the Gov Abdulrazaq success in the remaining tenure and his re-election bid.
While commending the administration, AGF disclosed that Governor Abdulrahman is a responsible and hardworking leader and that he shall remain loyal to the course of his administration.
