In yet another remarkable act of compassion and dedication to community upliftment, Engineer Ifeniyi Ogungbemi, founder of the Ifeniyi Foundation, has pledged strong educational support to orphans under the care of the City of Refuge Orphanage Home in Ilorin, Kwara State.
This heartwarming gesture is a clear reflection of Ogungbemi’s lifelong commitment to improving lives through purposeful philanthropy. Despite being outside the country, the founder personally reached out to the children via a phone call during the visit by his foundation’s coordinators to the orphanage on Tuesday, assuring them that they are not forgotten and that their dreams are valid.
“Your orphanage home is one of our targeted audience that we want to support,” he said, adding that the foundation would encourage outstanding performance among the children because “education is key to success in life.”
The City of Refuge Orphanage, which caters to over 60 children from across the 16 local government areas of Kwara State, currently commits over N2 million annually to the education of these orphans, supporting them through primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions. This burden, heavy yet necessary, is now shared with the Ifeniyi Foundation, whose intervention is expected to lighten the load and brighten the future for these young souls.
The cash donation made to the orphanage by the foundation is, in the words of Ogungbemi, “a token of love,” with promises to consider the full requests of the orphanage in due course.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation’s coordinators, Mrs. Bola Bamidele reaffirmed the founder’s unwavering mission: “We believe in empowering the less privileged and supporting their educational development and growth. What this orphanage is doing is beyond commendable, and we’re here to show that we care and that they are not alone.”
Engineer Ifeniyi Ogungbemi is not just a name in community development; he is a man of vision, compassion, and deep-rooted commitment to humanity. His quiet yet impactful philanthropic strides, supporting widows, students, and now orphans, show a leadership model founded on empathy, not ego.
As he prepares for the official launch of the Ifeniyi Foundation in Kwara State, the people are beginning to see what genuine leadership looks like: a man who listens, who acts, and who gives, without fanfare, but with sincerity.
In a society in dire need of role models and transformational leaders, Engr. Ifeniyi Ogungbemi is rising as a symbol of hope and change.
His message is clear: no child should be left behind, and no dream should die because of a lack of support.
Kwara is indeed witnessing the rebirth of compassionate leadership, one act of kindness at a time.
