A prominent legal practitioner and former gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kwara State, Lawyer Issa Manzuma, has called on Muslims to fully embrace the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, using the holy month to seek divine intervention for the nation’s progress.
Speaking on the significance of fasting across faiths, Manzuma emphasised that it serves as a powerful tool for deepening one’s spiritual connection, building self-discipline, and demonstrating humility before a higher power.
He highlighted that fasting encourages introspection, heightened prayers, acts of charity, and gratitude for God’s blessings.
“I humbly appeal to all Muslims to take advantage of this sacred period to pray to Almighty Allah for the purification of our nation, so that we may achieve economic prosperity, political stability, social security, and technological advancement,” he stated.
The ex-ADC governorship flag bearer in the last general election, Manzuma urged Nigerians to remain committed to the values of faith, unity, and service to humanity, stressing that Ramadan provides a unique opportunity to reflect on national challenges and seek divine guidance for a better future.
