Gobir Greets Onipe of Ipeeland on 20th Coronation Anniversary, 60th Birthday Celebration

Following his successful tour of Oyun and Offa Local Governments on Thursday, 17th and Friday, 18th November respectively, the YPP Gubernatorial Candidate, Waziri Yakubu Gobir in the company of his running mate, Bolujoko George returned to Oyun for the special celebration of the Onipe of Ipeeland, Oba Muftau Adebayo Lawal who has been on the throne for 20 years.

On the arrival of Gobir, the cheerful crowd was greeted with chants of “Sai Gobir” and “Alaaanu Ti De” as he moved to congratulate the monarch. Gobir extolled Kabiyesi’s qualities — particularly his service to humanity. He thanked Allah for enabling Kabiyesi to bring development to women and youths of the Ipee community.

As part of the activities to mark the occasion; as is prescribed by custom, the locals gave a booming 21 artillery gun salute in honour of the Onipe. The event which took place at the Baptist LGEA Primary Playing Ground welcomed the Onipe-in-Council, the Olofa of Offa, His Royal Majesty Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi Oloyede Esuwoye II, including first and second-class monarchs across the state.

During the ceremony, the monarch also conferred chieftaincy titles on about seven eminent personalities of the State who were crowned Otun Bashorun of Ipee.

The YPP Candidate ended his day with a visit to the Spiritual Father, Al-Imam Muhyiddin Salman Husayn, the Chief Imam of Offa land for his blessings.
