The Director General National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, National Assembly, Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman has assured the National Leadership of the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association of continuous support in paying back to his alma-mata..
Professor Sulaiman stated this during a courtesy call on him in his office by a 4-man delegate of the Alumni Association.
He said Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria had impacted greatly on all those who passed through the Institution which he described as “Better by Far” University in Teaching, Learning and Character.
The Director General who belongs to the Class of 90, Political Science Department of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, thanked the Alumni Leadership for his nomination for the award ahead of its Gala night in November this year, assured them of his acceptance of the Honour.
He also appreciated the Association for commending him for the appointment of Mohammad Abdulkadri, ANIPR, as his “Media Adviser” describing the appointee as a Seasoned Journalist and a well decorated Public Relations Practitioner par excellence deserving of the appointment.
The National Vice President, North Central Zone, Mallam Lanre Ahmed who represented the National President, Mallam Adamu Kontagora thanked the Director General, NILDS for his magnanimity in adding values to the activities of the association at all times.
Mallam Ahmed said the forth coming Gala Night will be a platform to see how Ahmadu Bello University Zaria can be assisted to overcome the challenges facing the institution.
The Chairman A.B.U Alumni Association, Kwara State Branch,Barrister Abdulrahman Solagberu corroborated the submission of the representative of the National President by describing Professor Abubakar O.Sulaiman as a big pillar of support to the association as an active member worthy of emulation by all.
The 4-man delegate including the Secretary, ABU Alumni Association FCT Chapter, Fatima Zarah Yusuf and Dr Ndanusa Manzuma of the NILDS later presented Letter of Appreciation for the appointment of Mohammad Abdulkadri as Media Adviser to the Director General, Professor Sulaiman and the congratulatory letter signed by the National President A.B.U Alumni Association, Mallam Adamu Kontagora.
