Imam warns against hypocrisy among Muslims

The National Missionary of the Igbomina/Ekiti Muslims Forum, Imam Sheikh Abdulquadri Salahudeen, has warned muslims against hypocrisy in matters of the Islamic faith.

The Chief missioner made the call at the end of 2025 Annual Ramadan Lecture organised by the forum in Ilorin.

Sheikh Salahudeen, who is also the Chief Imam of Alhaji Hussain Olanrewaju central Mosque, Ilorin explained that hypocrites or false Muslims who outwardly appear to be believers but inwardly harbor disbelief and seek to undermine the Muslim community. 

According to him, these false believers inwardly conceal disbelief and actively sought to undermine the Muslim community.

He warns that hypocrites lie and conceal evil while urging muslims to accept Islam in totality and follow the injunctions of the religion.

Sheikh Salahudeen pointed out the importance of seeking knowledge for all Muslims and contributing their quota in the development of humanity.

He also warns Muslims to beware of detractors who want to derail them from the path of Allah while calling for steadfastness.

Also speaking, Prof. Shaykh Lukman Jumaa, the Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), while appreciating the invitation by the forum, reminded Muslims not to ascribe partners to Allah.

Prof. Jumaa observed the need to document what constitutes shirk so as to educate the Muslims against falling into disbelief.

He also called for unity and dedication among the Muslim Ummah on the propagation of Islam.

Earlier in his welcome address, Alhaji Nasirudeen Ibrahim, the National President of the Forum, said the Annual Ramadan Lecture serves as a unifying platform for muslims who are indigenous to Igbomina-Ekiti to meet and deliberate on ways of propagating Islam.

He explained that the forum was established in 1994 with the aim of uniting the muslim Ummah and developing the community in their spiritual needs.

Ibrahim explained that the forum will commence community outreach programmes for indigene while also appealing for the support of the Muslims.

The lecture was attended by members of the forum across the communities in the Igbomina and Ekiti regions and other guests.
