In recognition of his philanthropic, benevolent act and services to humanity, the Jamuiyatu-S-Shikh Abduulganeey Akewukowo Alalubosa Islamic Society Worldwide in conjunction with Al-Faozaan Islamic Foundation will on Sunday February 20th, 2022 honour the MD/CEO of Fresh Insight Newspaper Mr. Abdulrasheed Akogun with an Award of Excellence.
The event which will take place at Dr. Bukola Saraki Junior Secondary School, beside Bovas Filling Station, Amuele Bridge, Ilorin, will begin from 10:00am prompt.According to the organiser of the event, the awardee was recognised and appreciated for his immense contributions and unique support to Al-Faozaan Islamic Foundation.
Akogun, a journalist and social crusader is from Oke-Ode, in Ifelodun Local Government Areas of Kwara State and is renowned for his philanthropy and humanitarian service.
He was recently reported to have given scholarship awards to 38 students from 5 public schools, that participated in the debate competition organised by the Akogun Educational Support Initiative (AESI), at Oke-ode Town hall, to enable them pursue their education career.
He had also in the past supported indigent students and less privileged in the society, most especially the students of the Ilorin School of Special Needs.
