The Publisher of Kwara People magazine and a former TIC Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Abdul-Hameed Oladipupo Alli, popularly called Mr. Nigeria, has disclosed his intention to join the Ilorin West Local Government Chairmanship race, in the forthcoming council elections in Kwara State.
Hon. Alli, disclosed this at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, when the committee for the launching of the Emir’s mother’s biography, led by the Chairman of Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Prof. Moshood Jimba and the Chairperson of the Planning Committee for the launching of the honourary book, Prof. Binta Sulyman visited the palace to seek Emir’s blessing as it flaggs-off visitation to invited guests, ahead of the launching of the book, which has been slated to hold later in the year.
Meeting with the committee members on behalf of the Emir, Alhaji Prince Modibbo Sulu-Gambari conveyed the approval of His Royal Highness to the visiting members of the launching committee of the book, written by Hon. Alli.
Earlier in his remarks, co-leader of the delegation, Prof. Jimba thanked the Emir for giving his blessings to the official take-off of the committee’s launching activities.
The Scholar especially appreciated the Emir for his earlier approval and blessing of the biography when it was first presented to him.
Speaking earlier at the palace, the Chairperson of the visiting Committee, Prof. Sulyman informed Gogo Eruda, a younger sister to NMA, the Emir’s mother, that the committee was in the palace to pray for the continuous repose of NMA’s soul in Aljanat Fridaus.
Responding, Alhaja Gogo Eruda appreciated the author and Ilorin West LG chairmanship aspirant, Hon. Alli for displaying utmost regard and honour for the palace.
Similarly, in a separate visit, the Secretary to Ilorin Emirate Council, Alhaji Lawal who acknowledged the foresight and effort of Alli in writing the monumental book, was presented with an award of ‘DESTINY HELPERS’, for his good virtues, on behalf of a Magazine published by Mr.Nigeria.
