A new leadership has emerged at the Nigerian Correctional Service, Kwara State Command, as Controller Tolorunshagba Femi Emmanuel officially assumed duty today Monday, August 25, 2025.
His appointment was approved by the Controller General of Corrections, Slyvester Ndidi Nwakuche, MFR, mni, following the redeployment of the former Controller, Famuwagun Oyeniran Enitan, who was recently elevated to the rank of Assistant Controller General of Corrections and posted to the Service’s National Headquarters in Abuja.
Controller Tolorunshagba, a native of Kabba in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, is a graduate of the University of Ado-Ekiti.
He began his career as a young officer at the Old Ilorin Prison, Oke-kura, and has since served in various key capacities. These include Officer-in-Charge of Kabba Prison and the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Ile-Ife, Osun State. He also served as Deputy Controller of Corrections in charge of Human Resources at the Kwara State Command Headquarters, Ilorin.
Upon his elevation to the rank of Controller of Corrections, he was deployed to Ekiti State Command as the Controller before his recent reassignment to Kwara State.
Described as a disciplined, committed, and dedicated officer, Tolorunshagba is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his duties in Kwara State.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Adegbulugbe Philip O. (anipr), while announcing the appointment, wished the new Controller a successful tenure.
