The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON and the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR will tomorrow Thursday 1st January 2026 commission Emirate Radio 98.5 FM, Ilorin.
According to the Management of Emirate Radio, activities are on top gear to host dignitaries at the all important event which will mark a new dawn in radio broadcasting in Kwara State.
Scheduled to hold behind Federal Ministry of Environment, off Old Jebba Road, Ilorin by 10am.
The Special Adviser and Counsellor to the Kwara State, Alhaji Saadudeen Salahudeen and will deliver a keynote address on the theme: It’s A New Dawn In Kwara State” which speaks on renewal and positive transformation and reflecting the birth and fresh beginnings, symbolising a state waking up to new possibilities.
The Commissioning will also feature dignitaries from all spheres of life both in Nigeria and diaspora to witness the occasion. The general public would also be in attendance to celebrate the birth of a new dawn.
