Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has called upon members of the National Assembly to provide greater assistance as the scheme continues to play a crucial role in national development.
General Ahmed emphasized that this support is essential to build upon the achievements the NYSC has accomplished over the past 50 years.
During visits to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth Development, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Youth Development, Honourable Martins Esin, General Ahmed expressed his congratulations on their appointments and highlighted the NYSC’s commitment to national unity, socio-economic progress, youth empowerment, and wealth creation.
He stressed the importance of cultivating a strong partnership with lawmakers to address the concerns of Nigerian youth effectively.
Both Senator Adaramodu and Honourable Esin assured General Ahmed of their full commitment to providing the necessary assistance to ensure a supportive environment for the NYSC in fulfilling its mandate.
