The Kwara State Government, under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has commenced the rehabilitation and upgrade of the Olofa Stadium in Offa, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to sports development in the state.
The decision to upgrade the iconic Olofa Stadium was approved during a State Executive Council meeting, after which the Governor ensured that rehabilitation work began without delay.
Upon completion, the stadium will feature alternative power supply, an extended pavilion, water-sprinkler systems, natural grass turf, a solar-powered borehole, and a pitch of international standard, making it a fully equipped professional sporting venue.
According to the Senior Special Assistant, New Media to the Governor, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi, over the years, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has made significant investments in sports infrastructure, including improvements at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, the Indoor Sports Hall, the Tennis Court, the Baseball and Softball Arena, and the New Squash Court Complex.


Residents of Offa, particularly football lovers have commended the Governor for rehabilitating the Olofa Stadium and other sports facilities in the state, noting that the development will inspire young athletes and boost sports participation.
