Chairman, Kwara State Civil Service Commission, Alhaja Habeebat Yusuf last Saturday led the people of Alapa, Lamba and Kondoro and Oja Koro in Asa local government area of the state to deliver bulk votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Results from the five polling units in the five communities showed that APC polled 637 votes in the governorship election while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailed with 534 votes.
The APC House of Assembly candidate also got substantial votes from the polling units coordinated by Alhaja Habeebat Yusuf.
Speaking with newsmen on the outcome of the election, Alhaja Yusuf said the outcome was a reflection of the good work which the state governor, AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq has been doing in the past four years.
She thanked the people of Alapa, Lamba Oja Koro and Kondoro communities for believing in the leadership of Governor AbdulRazaq as reflected in their overwhelming support for his re- election.
Alhaja Yusuf expressed her gratitude to community, religious leaders and especially the leaders of the Fulani community for their support and cooperation.
She assured them that their efforts would not be in vain as the governor would continue to provide good leadership for the state through the execution of people- oriented projects across the nooks and crannies of the state.
Alhaja Yusuf congratulated Governor AbdulRazaq on what she described as” a well- deserved victory.”
