The Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has rejoiced with the Chairman and Founder of Royal FM Station, Ilorin, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo, on the 10th year anniversary of the radio station.
The Union also felicitated the management and staff for standing firm during the challenging but awesome decade in the life of the media outfit.
According to a congratulatory message signed by the Council’s Chairman and Secretary, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed and Omotayo Ayanda respectively, Royal FM has contributed positively to the development of the media industry in the state and business world through creation of employment opportunities for media practitioners.
“No doubt, your radio station has consistently strived to set a high standard of radio communication for its listeners as well as its community-minded endeavours throughout the last one decade.
“Your team of top-class professionals are dedicated to the best journalism practice. You are always ranked among the leaders in the broadcasting sector and the media industry in general.
“The Union wishes to extend its heartfelt congratulations to the management and team at Royal FM for their hard work and dedication in the past ten years and urge them to keep the flag flying”, the statement said.
The NUJ, however, promised its support at all times to the station for its continuous improvement and development.
