Kwara NUJ felicitates Oladimeji on conferment of Asiwaju of Igbomina

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kwara State Council has congratulated the founder of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Alhaji Chief (Dr.) Abdulraheem Oladimeji, OFR, FNAEAP, FSPSP, (Jagunmolu of Igbominaland, Arogundade of Lagos, Baba Oba of Offa, on his installation as Asiwaju of Igbomina Land.

The Union, in a statement signed by the state Chairman and Secretary, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed and Omotayo Ayanda, described the conferment of the chieftaincy title on Oladimeji as a mark of his commitment to the development of Igbomina Land and Kwara State in general.

According to the statement, Oladimeji’s fight for unity of Igbomina race has made the chieftaincy title well deserved.

The Union commended the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosun, for finding the Al-Hikmah University founder worthy of the elevation to the chieftaincy title.

The NUJ applauded Oladimeji, who it identified as one of its patrons, for his humanitarian and leadership qualities.

“He is a philanthropist, fantastic decision maker, distinguished educationist and businessman whose selfless service transcends the shores of Kwara and Nigeria”, the statement said.
