Ambassador (Dr.) Chief (Mrs.) Janet Tayo Faremi, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a renewed mandate from the people of the state.
Faremi, the Iyalaje Bewajiokin of Akola-Ijesa Kingdom in Atakumosa West Local Government Area, conveyed the congratulatory message on behalf of her family, the people of Akola-Ijesa Kingdom and residents of Atakumosa West.
In a statement, she said Adeleke’s re-election demonstrated the confidence, trust and goodwill the people of Osun State had reposed in his leadership.
She described the victory as recognition of the progress recorded by the Adeleke administration and the hope his leadership had continued to inspire among the people.
According to her, the renewed mandate should not be seen merely as a victory at the polls but as a fresh call to service and a greater responsibility to unite the people and deepen development across the state.
Faremi expressed confidence that Adeleke’s experience, humility and commitment to the welfare of the people would enable Osun State to sustain its development trajectory, promote inclusive governance and create greater prosperity for its citizens.
She urged the governor, as he begins his new term, to prioritise peace, development and empowerment, while improving opportunities for youths and women across the state.
Faremi also prayed for divine wisdom, strength, good health and guidance for the governor to successfully steer the affairs of Osun State during his second term.
“Congratulations once again, Your Excellency. Osun State is proud of you. The people have spoken, and the mandate has been renewed,” she said.
She expressed the hope that Adeleke’s second term would bring greater achievements and leave an enduring legacy of good governance and people-centred development.
