The father of one of the suspects arrested over the alleged killing of a middle aged lady, Ashiata Yekeen for money ritual has committed suicide.

Recall that Our Source had earlier reported that a team of Anti Kidnapping Squad of Osun State Police Command arrested Muhideen Tunji Adebayo, Alfa Musi and one Orela for allegedly killing a middle aged lady, Ashiata Yekeen.

It was gathered that father of Muhideen Tunji Adebayo, who is the prime suspect in the killing, PA Adetunji popularly known as Baba Ayisat of Ago’s compound in Ileogbo, Ayedire local in Osun State, according to the source who spoke with our correspondent on phone said, he committed suicide due to shame in the town.

The source said since his son was arrested for the killing of his girlfriend for a money ritual, he was not free to go out or speak to anyone in the town.

The source revealed that he ate poison around 6pm on Monday.

The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested three teenage suspects for alleged attempted ritual killing.

A statement on Tuesday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, said the suspects were nabbed with the collaboration of youths in the Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.

It identified the suspects as Emomotimi Magbisa, Perebi Aweke and Eke Prince, who are all 15 years of age.

According to the command, they “allegedly accosted one Endeley Comfort ‘f’ 13 years, hypnotised her to follow them to the apartment of Emomotimi Magbisa in Sagbama community, cut her finger and sprinkle the blood on a mirror for ritual purposes.

“Vigilant youths noticed the suspicious movements of the suspects and raised alarm.

“The suspects were subsequently arrested and some substance suspected to be charms were recovered from them. The suspects have confessed to the crime.
