A Muslim Organization, Al-Harakatul-Islamiyyah (The Islamic Movement) under the auspices of the Muslim Ummah in the South West on Friday described the killings and destruction of houses in Palestine as a war against humanity.
The organization therefore called on the International communities declare the continued destruction of houses and killings of the Palestinians by the Israelis as a crime against humanity.
The leader of organization, Mallam AbdulRazaq Abdulwahab-Al-Amin made the call while speaking at a press briefing shortly after a procession to condemn the killings of Palestinians held at the Ilorin Central Mosque in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
He emphasized the need for the international communities not see the war between Israelis and Palestinians as a Muslims-Christians’ issue but a problem that affects humanity.
The Islamic Movement noted with displeasure that the position of Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry on the crisis was not a reflection of the sensitivity the crisis deserves.
“The position of Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry on the crisis is not a reflection of the sensitivity the crisis deserves. Some countries of the world and NGOs have employed very strong terms to condemn Israel. The stand of Nigeria as a country must not be like a slap on the wrist”.
“All upholders of truth are called upon to totally boycott goods, services and companies/entities directly and indirectly connected to Israel. A call for outright cessation of diplomatic ties with the Jewish state of Israel is hereby made to the Nigeria government and all other truth lover nations.
“Justifications for the Hamas and other truth lovers to defend the oppressed are enshrined in the Qur’an, Bible, and International Laws. This position must be upheld. The Middle East countries are called upon to fight this war under the banner of Islam rather than Arabism.
“The Muslim Ummah is called upon to drop all and any primordial differences and queue behind the suffering and oppressed citizens in Palestine fighting the imposed war.
Israel should be held accountable for war crimes by international bodies claiming to exist for the global peace and justice”.
The Organization called on Arabia countries like Morocco, Sudan, Egypt, UAE and Turkey to cut diplomatic ties with Israel.
“Morocco, Sudan, Egypt, UAE and Turkey are specifically called upon to severe diplomatic ties with the Jewish state of Israel while Saudi opts out of the talks to have diplomatic ties with the Jewish state.The Muslims condemn Pastor Adeboye for supporting Israel.
“Masjidul Aqsa in Jerusalem is the third holiest Mosque of the Muslims. Its spiritual and political relevance to the Muslims is sacrosanct and should be treated as such. Muslims are called upon to engage in Du’aaul-Qunut during the days and nights Salawaat (prayers) in support of the Palestinians and against the Israelites and the State of Israel”.
In his remark, a member of Islamic Movement, Mallam Muhammed Raji, expressed sadness over the continued molestation of the Palestinians.
He said the international communities should as a matter of urgency rise and bring and end to the genocide that is going on in Palestinians land.
Also speaking, a member of Al-Harakatul Islamiyyah in Ilorin, Abdulfatah Isa Abu-Hannifa said the killings of both Christians and Muslims in Palestine should be condemned.
He noted that human beings should not be killed based on their colour or faith.
