Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, currently in a recovery phase in Germany, has addressed ongoing rumors circulating on social media about his return to Nigeria.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, on Sunday, Governor Akeredolu acknowledged the widespread interest in his health and assured the public of his intention to return to the country once his recuperation is complete.
Dismissing a recently circulated video depicting his arrival via helicopter, the governor clarified that the footage was from his campaign tour ahead of the previous Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Expressing gratitude for the support and goodwill from the people of Ondo State, Governor Akeredolu conveyed his eagerness to resume his responsibilities and continue his efforts towards a promising future for the Sunshine State.
