The Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed grief over the death of Maryam Agboola, daughter of the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Government House, Ilorin, Mr Mashood Agboola.
Describing the transition of the young Maryam as troubling and heart-wrenching, the council said the death has obviously caused emotional pain in Agboola’s family.
In a statement issued in Ilorin on Saturday, the state NUJ Chairman and Secretary, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed and Omotayo Ayanda respectively, commiserated with the family of the Deputy Chief Press Secretary and urged them to take solace in the fact that the Almighty Allah gives and takes life at will.
The council admonished the bereaved father to be comforted that Maryam was a pride to all during her lifetime.
While reminding all about the inevitability of death, the state NUJ prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased of her earthly inadequacies and admit her into the paradise on the day of Great Assembly.
The union also beseeched the Almighty Allah to give the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, his wife and the entire Agboola family the fortitude to endure the attendant excruciating pain.
