The Transition Implementation Committee(TIC), Chairman, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Hon Jare Olatundun has described as tissue of lies news making round that he had a confrontational with the Treasurer of the Local Government.
A statement by the Media Director to the council boss, Elder R Laja, said the new was untrue and baseless, describing it as unfounded and figment of imagination of the writer to discredit the personality of the Council Chairman.
According to the statement,”It is a plot, antic and attempt to malign and discredit the good work of the Council Chairman, Hon Jare Olatundun”.
It added that the Chairman was determined to continue to forge ahead in his desire, resolved and determination to make life more bearable to the people of Offa Local Government Area in complementing the efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The statement therefore, urged the peace loving people of Offa to disregard the fake news and such an insinuation, saying that it was a calculated attempt to distract the people from “developmental tide of the Chairman”.
The statement further reads in part:”Let us maintain order and peace as political detractors are on spree to showcase their emptiness. It is only political neophytes that will give-in to this unfortunately social media plots to discredit the ‘Mr PROJECT’ with his milestones and intimidating infrastructural changes”.
