Saraki congratulates Rafiu Ibrahim on his conferment as Bobaselu of Erin-Ile

Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the Kwara South Senator in the 8th National Assembly, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, on his investiture as the BOBASELU of Erin-Ile land by HRM Oba Abdulganiyu Ajibola Olusokun ll MFR, the Elerin of Erin-Ile.

Saraki in a congratulatory message by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, said the honour is well deserved, judging by Senator Rafiu’s unparalleled contribution to his immediate community and Kwara South as a whole.

The former Senate President also said he is proud of Senator Rafiu’s exploits as the people’s representative at various level, as a brother and friend.

Saraki said, “It’s a great pleasure to celebrate with you this day as the people spotlighted your popularity by conferring on you this Chieftaincy title.

“As a member in the 8th National Assembly which I headed, you were pivotal to our success both at the national and state level.

“As a co-traveler in the Kwara liberation movement, I rejoice with you, your family and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, on this enviable feat. I trust you to do more.”

Saraki also congratulated the Elerin of Erin-Ile, HRM Oba Abdulganiyu Ajibola Ibrahim Olusokun II, on his 80th birthday and 40th coronation anniversary.

He lauded the aged monarch, the Elerin in Council, and the people of Erin-Ile, for their choice of Rafiu Ibrahim as worthy of the honour.

Saraki, while urging him to live up to expectation in his capacity as Bobaselu of Erin-Ile, prayed God to grant him the courage, wisdom and resources in the service to the community as well as uplift of Kwara South and the state in general.
