The campaign council of Hon. Ganiyu Saka Cook Olododo is pleased to note that even the fiercest opponents of the Social Democratic Party candidate for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency and incumbent member representing the Constituency at National Assembly, has reckoned and identified with the impactful representation of Olododo.

This is particularly so, as we observe with delight that the same set of people campaigning against Olododo only found solar panel streetlights facilitated by Olododo available on major streets of Ilorin East and South local government to hang their lampposts.

In a statement by the Director Media and Publicity of GSCO, Ibrahim Sheriff, Olododo’s campaign team mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) lead Kwara state government for its inability to provide sufficient elementary basic amenities as street lighting, a vacuum GSCO campaign organization said the SDP Reps candidate for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency is graciously filling.

“Just like Yoruba adage that the lazy ones also knows and appreciate good things, we are delighted to see our major opponents, including the PDP and ruling APC reckoning with and identifying with the achievements of of our candidate. This is another testimony from our opponents that Olododo of SDP have excelled where they failed.

“We marvel at where these politicians would hang their lampposts, if Olododo hadn’t facilitated those streetlights. Perhaps, if the streets had remained in darkness courtesy of the gross negligence and inability of APC-led Kwara state government to light the streets, our oppositions’ lampposts would’ve been visible only to the jinns at night, who incidentally have no voters card to participate in the coming 2023 elections.

“The opposition party candidates who are now taking political advantage of street lights facilitated by Olododo should thank Olododo for facilitating no fewer than 1,000 solar powered streetlights across the 23 political wards of the Federal Constituency, else they’ll have had nowhere to hang their campaign fliers.

“While we are proud to realize that Olododo’s oppositions are now inadvertently testifying to the gains of Olododo’s representation in the last three (3) years, we urge the electorates to shun these oppositions who couldn’t bring them light, but rather wants to leverage on lights of Olododo to return them to political darkness.

“We urge the people of Ilorin East/South to stick with Oladodo, the man who personifies quality and compassionate representation, the one whose light endear even his fiercest political opponents”, the statement added.

Natives and Residents of communities in Akanbi Ward 3 and 4 of Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State, have declared support for the reelection bid of Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Alhaji (Dr) Ganiyu Saka Cook Olododo.

In a statement by the Director of Media and Publicity of Olododo’s Campaigns Organization, Ibrahim Sheriff and made available to Daily Links, the declarations were made at various locations during a pre-campaign consultation tour to critical stakeholders in Akanbi Wards 3 & 4 of Ilorin South; one of the two local governments that made up the Federal Constituency.

Several communities, including Olunlade, Oke Ogun, Ifedayo and Tanke among others, market women, road transporters and artisans alike were among those met the Olododo’s team.

The people of Olunlade and neighboring communities who came out in hundreds, singing praises in appreciation of solar powered boreholes, modern public toilets among other infrastructural projects facilitated by Olododo noted that they are happy not just hearing about good governance, but feeling it’s impact with the efforts of the lawmaker.

The Magaji of Agbo in his remarks “We are happy we can see and not only hearing about the impact of Olododo, we really thank him for helping us solve our age long water problem and i am confident our people will show appreciation.”

For his part, the Chairman of Agbo community, Engr. Ishola said “We appreciate the dividend of democracy Olododo has brought to our doorstep and we promise to repay his gestures with our votes, with the confidence that he’d do more when re-elected.

“The APC, after neglecting us to bad road, poor electricity, lack of healthcare Centre etc are now sharing N20,000 to our women but we won’t be deceived by that, we know those who meant well for us and making life easy for us”, he added.

The Chairman of Olunlade community, also appreciate the solar motorized borehole facilitated for the community by Olododo, stressing that the “Olunlade is with you”.

While attesting to the giant strides of Olododo in addressing infrastructural issues bedeviling his constituents, residents of Akanbi 3 & 4 equally admonish the lawmaker and the SDP to give serious attention to the huge infrastructural deficit that has broken adjoining communities in the area apart.

Earlier in his remarks, the Director General of the Campaign, Alh. Ishola Mashood Abiola (Pascal) noted that the visit was to appreciate the support of the communities and seek their continued cooperation for the re-election of Olododo, assuring that more than he is doing, the lawmaker will do more if eventually re-elected into office come 2023

The member representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. (Dr) Abdulganiyu Saka Cook Olododo today flagged off the construction of two (2) roads in the two local governments that made up the Federal Constituency.

The road projects facilitated by Olododo who is seeking re-election under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) includes Baba Okankan-Onitobe-Onitiku road in Ibagun ward, Ilorin East and Ansarul-Islam-Oke Aluko road in Okaka ward of Ilorin South local government.

At the brief flag off ceremony in ilorin today, Olododo who is the Chairman, House Committee on National Planning said, “Because of the laxity of the present government to genuinely address infrastructural decays bedeviling my constituency, I have made it incumbent upon myself to ensure my people gets dividend of democracy. This is another of the numerous results of my strives to make life better and meaningful for our people.

“Nothing can be compared to experience, it is the ones I have garnered throughout my sojourn of serving the people back home that is assisting me to get and bring these democratic goodies back home. The two roads we are commissioning today makes my facilitated road project about eight (8), spread across various communities of my constituency.

Olododo charged the people of Ilorin East and South to query the antecedents of his opponents viz a viz the impact they have been able to make for the people in their privileged positions in the past, noting that none of them comes close to his record of impact on the Constituency’s communities and its people.

“As election approaches, politicians with no second address would come cajoling you. I enjoy you to ask them to show what they have done in their privileged position of authority.

“We have facilitated several roads, electrification, sustainable empowerment projects and offered quality representation to our people. Ask them to show you their impacts.

According to the Director, Media and publicity, Ganiyu Saka Cook Olododo Campaign Organisation, Ibrahim Sheriff (Gold), while assuring his constituents that another massive empowerment program is in the pipeline, he further promised continuous quality representation beyond 2023, urging them to vote massively for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), noting that, it is the only party that can take Kwara out of its precarious developmental situation it is currently in.

The lawmaker also urged the contractors to engage labor from within the host communities, to ensure they tap from the economic benefit of the project.

The Chairman of Baba Okankan Alh Sheu Ayinla Gatayaki, on behalf of the communities in his reaction appreciated Olododo, noting that “he is our true son, who has demonstrated true passion for Ibagun and Ilorin East and South”.

The community leader noted that it is under Olododo’s representation that they are witnessing massive developmental transformation in the area; from street lighting, portable water provision, construction of police station and roads among others.

Gatayaki therefore urged the people to reiterate their overwhelming support for Olododo and vote massive for him in the 2023 general election.

The contractor, Engr. Dolapo Bello while speaking at the road project sites assured that the two road project will commence immediately and would be completed by January 2023.
