ALGON Congratulates APC Chairman on KWCOED Fellowship Award

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has congratulated the Kwara State’s Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Sunday Fagbemi on the honourary Fellowship Award conferred on him by the Kwara State College of Education, Oro

The body noted that the prestigious honour was conferred on Fagbemi during the 13th Combined Convocation ceremony of the college, which took place in the institution’s premises on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

The leadership of ALGON also appreciated the management of Kwara State College of Education, Oro for recognizing the outstanding contributions of Prince Fagbemi to education and community development through human resources advancement and political mobilization in Kwara State.

ALGON noted that among academics, educationists, public servants, business people, top-flight professionals and political leaders honoured at the ceremony were APC chieftains.

The Abubakar Abdullahi Danladi-led ALGON expressed joy over the honour done them during the convocation ceremony, which celebrated their unwavering commitment to empowering the youth and advancing educational initiatives that is impacting the state positively.

ALGON also stressed that the conferment was not only an academic exercise but a testament to his dedication and selfless service as well as consistent efforts in championing educational empowerment and community development.

“For Fagbemi, it is an honour well deserved because he has been an instrument towards fostering unity and progress within the political class which transcended into stable polity in the state, even as his accolade serve as an inspiration to other political leaders across the broader community,” Danladi stated.

“We believe Prince Fagbemi will continue to prioritize and reinforce education and community service making contributions that shape the future of the youths which consequentially strengthen the foundation of our society,” he added.
