The Hijrah Organisation of Nigeria, National  Headquarters has called on the Federal Government to manage the affairs of Hajj with greater sensitivity and foresight to avoid compounding the current economic hardship faced by Nigerians.

In a communique issued after the organisation quatrrly meeting, held at its Secretariat located at Justice Abdulkadir Orire House, the National Chairman of the Organisation, Professor Badmas Olanrewaju Yusuf, emphasised that Hajj should be treated as a sacred spiritual journey, not merely a tourist exercise.

The Association warned that poor planning or financial mismanagement in Hajj operations could further burden intending pilgrims and their families.

They also  urged the government to create more windows of opportunity and proactive engagement to address the growing security challenges across the country, noting that almost every part of the country no longer feels safe.

They further stressed the urgent need for leadership at all levels to work collaboratively and justly in protecting lives and property.

They  also advised Muslims to begin preparing spiritually and morally for the new Islamic year, stressing that the Hijrah season should be a time for personal reflection, community service, and renewed commitment to Islamic values.

They  reminded believers that the ultimate solution to Nigeria’s numerous challenges lies in total submission and firm belief in Allah, urging the faithful to strengthen their trust in divine guidance and mercy.

While appreciating members of the Organisation for their support towards the successful hosting of the recent imam training held in Baruten, Kwara North, they  reiterated the Organisation’s dedication to raising a new generation of knowledgeable and upright religious leaders across the state.

They further expressed gratitude to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, for appointing Professor Olaolu Ali (SAN) as Kuliyan Gari, describing the appointment as well-deserved and a testament to Professor Ali’s integrity and service to the Ilorin Emirate.
