Monitoring committee expresses satisfaction as PDP holds Reps primaries in Kwara… Hails Saraki leadership

The Chairman of the National Election Monitoring Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Adenigbagbe Yusuf, has expressed satisfaction with the turnout and conduct of party members during the House of Representatives primary election in Kwara State.

Dr. Yusuf made the remark on Sunday while monitoring the primary election for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency seat at Magaji Aare Ward I, Isale-Oja in Ilorin East Local Government Area.

The monitoring exercise was jointly carried out by the Kwara State Working Committee (SWC) of the party, led by the State Chairman, Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu, alongside members of the National Election Monitoring Committee deployed to the state.

Speaking during the exercise, Dr. Yusuf commended party members for their impressive turnout and peaceful participation, describing the process as encouraging ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He also praised the political leadership of former Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, stating that Kwara remains a strong force within Nigeria’s opposition politics.

According to him, the PDP is well positioned to reclaim power in the state in 2027.

Party faithful were seen gathered in large numbers at the venue as the party moved to elect its candidate for the federal constituency election.

Among notable personalities sighted at the exercise were House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Bashir Olayinka Amule, and his associate, Alhaji Saka Eletu, who is widely regarded as the leading consensus aspirant for the constituency seat.
