The Kwara State Ministry of Women Affairs, with support from Jhpiego, has unveiled a Management Information System (MIS) App to strengthen the reporting, documentation, and management of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) cases across the state.

The MIS App was developed under the Advancing Integrated Health Services Delivery for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Communicable Diseases Project, funded by the Global Fund.

The digital platform was officially presented on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, during the quarterly meeting of the Child Rights Implementation Committee (CRIC) held at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Women Affairs in Ilorin.

Presenting the application, the State Team Lead of Jhpiego, Mr. Williams Awotunde, said the MIS App was developed to improve the reporting of gender-based violence cases while enhancing the state’s data collection and management system for GBV incidents.

According to him, the platform will provide a more coordinated and efficient approach to documenting cases, generating reliable data, and supporting informed decision-making in addressing gender-based violence.
