The former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has commiserated with the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ, Kwara State chapter, over the loss of a veteran photo journalist, Alhaji Ibraheem Salami popularly called ‘Tallest’.
Late Ibrahim Salami, a veteran journalist, died at the age of 75 during a brief illness at his Airport residence on Saturday, according to brief information released by the Chairman of the National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ) in the State, Alhaji Tunde Akanbi.
Saraki in a condolence message signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, described the deceased as a dedicated media practitioner who was committed to work.
Saraki, who was saddened to learn of the passing of Alhaji Ibraheem, conveyed his heartfelt condolence to the family of the deceased and the NUJ, Kwara State chapter.
He prayed Almighty Allah to overlook the shortcomings of the deceased, admit him into Aljana Firdaus and grant his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
“I acknowledge the significant roles journalists play in the society and appreciate them a lot.
“As we mourn Alhaji Ibraheem’s passing, we celebrate his remarkable life and pray that Almighty Allah overlook his shortcomings, admit him into Aljana Firdaus and grant his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss,” Saraki said.
