The Offa Doctors Forum has pledged to provide more healthcare interventions for the Offa community and to support the development of its members as the year 2025 begins.
Dr Rasheed Odunola, the President of the Forum stated this in a Communique issued on Sunday, on the sidelines of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association.
The president who highlighted the achievement of the association expressed resolve to further strengthen community impact through collaborations and community outreach programs.
He observed that the previous year has been impactful with progress and collaboration, adding that the association will further establish the Forum as a force for positive change in Offa and beyond.
“As part of our efforts to improve healthcare delivery, we plan to renovate a health center in Offa.
“This project will enhance healthcare infrastructure and ensure better access to quality care for our community,” he said.
According to him, the Forum will also provide scholarships for indigent Offa Medical Students, to support the next generation of medical professionals.
“A sum of 100,000 naira will be awarded to deserving 200-level medical students from Offa who are indigent. This initiative underscores our commitment to education and empowerment,” he said.
Similarly, Odunola said the group will collaborate with Offa Descendants Union of North America (ODUNA) 2025 activities and mobilize doctors for the program.
He also reiterate that the association wil enhance members welfare, and expand data base of about 75 percent.
The president of the Forum added that there will be efforts to increase compliance with dues payments, for more projects and provision of better support for members, among others.
