Craft Innovation Hub (CIH) will on Wednesday November 26, 2025 hold a free community health screening in Ilorin offering cervical Pap smears, breast and prostate ultrasounds, prostate-specific antigen tests, and vital checks including blood pressure, weight and body mass index.
The exercise will take place at CIH on Agbo Oba Road, Adeta, with an opening session from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and screening from 11.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Organisers are targeting 200 to 300 beneficiaries within a total attendance of 400 to 500, with a gender balance target of at least 100 women and 100 men.
According to the World Health Organization, timely screening and early diagnosis improve survival and reduce the burden of late-stage treatment. CIH said the programme is designed to lower barriers by removing costs, simplifying access and issuing same-day guidance where needed.
“Give yourself one hour. Check, know, act,” said Abdulrasaq Ahmed Abiodun, Founder of CIH. “Pre-registration helps but it is not compulsory. Walk in, take a token, and you will be seen. Results will be delivered digitally by SMS, email and secure portal so people can make informed decisions quickly.”

Eligibility cues include Pap smears for women aged 21 to 65 and PSA testing for men aged 40 and above, subject to clinical discretion. Attendees are advised to bring any previous medical reports if available, a reachable phone number and to dress modestly for easy vital checks.
CIH said security agencies have been briefed for traffic and crowd management around the venue during peak periods. Privacy screens and female clinicians for female procedures will be in place. Abnormal findings will receive same-day referral notes to designated facilities, while minimal, anonymised data will be logged for impact reporting. Personal results will not be shared publicly.
Doors open for check-in from 9.30 a.m. For enquiries, contact 0803 117 4516 or hi@cih.ng. Further information is available at www.cih.ng.
