The three-day Fidau prayer for the repose of the soul of late Alhaji Abdulrauf Ademola Adedoyin, Akogun of Oro Kingdom and younger brother of the former Kwara State Commissioner for Information and the Olori-Ewe of Oro Kingdom, Chief Raheem Adedoyin, was held on Tuesday at the Gaa-Akanbi Central Mosque amid prayers for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased.
The prayer session was led by Dr Isiaka Abdulkareem Ola Anobi and attracted family members, Islamic clerics, political associates, traditional title holders, community leaders and sympathisers from within and outside Kwara State.
Members of the Adedoyin family led by Oloriewe Adedoyin were present at the prayer gathering, which featured Qur’anic recitations, Islamic admonitions and special supplications for Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Alhaji Abdulrauf Adedoyin and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.
In his sermon, Dr Ola Anobi reminded the congregation about the inevitability of death and the transient nature of life, urging the faithful to remain steadfast in righteousness, devotion to Allah and service to humanity.
The cleric also offered prayers for the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, praying for wisdom, good health, peaceful governance and continued development in the state.

Special prayers were equally offered for Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin and the entire Adedoyin family, with clerics praying for strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Several dignitaries and political associates who attended the Fidau described the late Alhaji Abdulrauf Adedoyin as a humble, respected and community-oriented figure whose life impacted many people positively within and outside Oro Kingdom.
The Fidau prayer concluded with prayers for peace, unity and continued progress in Oro Kingdom, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.
Present at the event are the Nigerian Ambassador, general manager of the Herald newspaper, former Kwara TV general manager, Dr Alabi , Alhaji Ibrahim Kunle Akogun, the Akogun of oke ode; Alhaji Tunde Akanbi , Alhaji Abdullah Olesin, among others
