NUJ holds Colloquium to commemorate Emir of Ilorin’s 27th year on throne, Thursday

The Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is to organize a Colloquium in commemoration of the 27th year anniversary of the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the throne of his progenitors.

The colloquium, which is in conjunction with Ilorin Emirate Council, is scheduled for Thursday 10, November, 2022 at Banquet Hall, opposite Government House, Ilorin at 11am.

This was contained in a statement issued in Ilorin by the Chairman and Secretary, Colloquium Planning Committee, Alhaji Tunde Akanbi and Tajudeen Babamale respectively.

The statement noted that the colloquium will also feature launching of a special magazine dedicated to the celebration of the revered monarch.

It added that a Professor of History and International Studies at the University of Ilorin, Ibrahim AbdulGaniyu Jawondo, will be the Keynote Speaker while Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of the state is the Special Guest of Honour at the event.

The statement said the colloquium is being convened to appreciate and celebrate the exceptional leadership quality of the Emir of Ilorin that has affected Ilorin, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole positively.
